Variables let one template serve every customer. You write the message once with numbered placeholders, and each send fills them from your contact data.
How they work
Placeholders are numbered in order — {{1}}, {{2}} and so on — and mapped to a field such as a first name, an order number or a delivery date. The number of values you send must match the number of placeholders exactly, or the send fails.
Rules that cause rejections
- A variable cannot start or end the message body
- Two variables cannot sit next to each other
- Every variable needs a sample value at submission
- Placeholders must be numbered in sequence, with none skipped
